Corkcicle

Corkcicle is the drinkware that sits at the intersection of function and lifestyle. Working with several mega-name partners (e.g. Disney, Warner Bros., Rifle Paper Co.), the brand is known for stunning patterns and textures on elevated products.

Social Graphics

Here are some examples of light animations I did while at Corkcicle. Motion was a consistent winner in terms of performance, so we made it a point to factor in animation wherever possible. Additionally, much of our partnership creative had to be approved both by our team and by the client. Each entity had their own rules surrounding creative which added another challenge to the mix. Along with graphics, I also frequently had the opportunity to write email, web, and social copy.

Photography

Corkcicle worked on a campaign calendar where approximately 20+ patterns were released throughout the year. Corkcicle also had its own niche brands - Sierra, Series A, and Unicorn Magic. Essentially, it felt like designing for several clients at once, all with distinct branding. My challenge was to weave these brands and personalities together using imagery. For each photo shoot, I was responsible for mood boarding, inspiration/examples, shot lists, prop lists, and more.

Here’s a peek at how I use AI in my conceptualization process. I was able to use generative AI in Midjourney and Photoshop to yield these results. I find that visualizing specific setups creates a more efficient on-set experience while setting clear expectations. Plus, it’s pretty darn fun to do!

Email

A great deal of my day-do-day involved email design, copywriting, and ideation. To me, email is one of the juiciest ways to connect with a brand’s audience. I generally start my campaign collateral design with email so that I can accurately gauge which brand elements to include. I feel that there’s more of an opportunity to do this in email because you can include essentially every brand touchpoint. From there, I can comfortably build out social, MMS, and other content having already established a base.

I use Figma to design emails and most other campaign collateral. Additionally, because I’m an experienced copywriter, I write about 90% of the email copy I design around (I wrote 100% of the copy shown here).
